What?! Zombies drink beer too. Except their beer is about 60% blood, 15% prime shoulder meat, 15% guts, 10% alcohol. I know, pretty strong beer. I was originally planning on coloring this one, but decided against it.

Acrylic Ink on water color paper.
Say hello to Jim, he's kind of an arrogant douchebag. This latest piece was inspired by Wrinkles and the number 2.

Another zombie. This one is a little confused for some reason. You can see the unphotoshopped drawing here.

Micron pens in a Moleskine plain notebook.
In these passed two weeks I have been bombarded by zombie related media. First I downloaded the new maps for Call of Duty's Zombie Mode (yes I am a girl, and yes I play COD... deal with it) and had a blast playing them, then I randomly caught 28 Weeks Later on TV, crazy movie, then to top it off a friend of mine lent me the first book of The Walking Dead and got me hooked. So I figured I should follow the signs and do a quick sketch of a zombie, but it ended up being more of a quick sketch plus half asked inking. Enjoy!

This morning I opened my bag to find that one of my Micron brush pen's cap had decided to go on a solo adventure near my wallet. Leaving the brush pen to dry up next to its well covered .01 and .005 brothers and sisters. "Shit!" I exclaimed when I discovered this. Then I thought, why not use the pen anyway, until I have tapped into the last of its ink. To my surprise, the more I drew with it the more ink came out. From that was born this mess of a sketchbook update. Couple Uglies hanging out together and being attacked by disembodied hands. There is still ink left in the pen, but the brush tip is frayed away to hell.
On another note, for a while now, I've been aiming to put all my Uglies together and make a little book. Although I have plenty of them, there is more to it than just random characters I make up. Uglies are all about embracing the aesthetically unappealing, particularly in faces and facial expressions. In the last few years I have developed a collection of faces that I doodle, or paint off the top of my head. What I also consider part of Uglies, more refined of course, are my drawings of elderly people (not at all am I saying that elderly people are ugly). But the beautiful faces of the aged and experienced have similar qualities to that of my invented friends. In my book, I would like to showcase portraits of real people, with real experiences etched in their expression. That said, I call upon you, the 3 people who visit my blog daily, to send me pictures of elderly family members, or friends, or homeless people on the street (no stock photography please). If you like, you may also write a little biography or anecdote of the person. You may send your pictures here.

Happy Monday to all. Today I am posting something that I "finished" a few weeks back. This was a preliminary design/sketch for a skateboard I wanted to hand paint. I have already started drawing directly on the board, but it is evolving into something different than what you see above. I still enjoy this drawing, so I decided to share it with you.
